Tim has an extensive background in non-emergency para-transit transportation policies, procedures, and regulations. Tim started his career in the transportation industry in 1993 as the first wheelchair van operator for MedFleet Ambulance Service in Pasco County after becoming Florida State certified as an Emergency Medical Technician.  Shortly afterward, Tim transferred to the ambulance division working as an EMT attendant first, then later as the Field Training Officer and then Training and Safety Supervisor. In the years following, Tim functioned in nearly every aspect of the company including Reservationist, Dispatcher, Dispatch Supervisor, Billing Specialist, Training and safety Supervisor, Operations Supervisor, and Administrative Supervisor.

In 1997, Tim was responsible for developing and implementing the training program to switch MedFleets’ sister company, Wheelchair Transport Service from a paper based dispatch system to a computer aided system.

In 2004, Tim accepted the role of Training and Safety Supervisor for both MedFleet and Wheelchair Transport Service, directly overseeing the initial and ongoing training programs for both companies. During this time Tim revised and updated the training process with an emphasis on customer service and safety. Tim became a Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) recognized Sensitivity Instructor to facilitate initial and ongoing Sensitivity training for drivers participating in the PSTA Demand and Response Transportation (DART) Program. His intimate knowledge of the para-transit industry and the DART program rules have allowed him to train drivers with an emphasis on minimizing and preventing service problems and complaints by  teaching drivers the special needs and considerations of individuals with disabilities. Tim has trained an estimated 1000+ drivers both initially and ongoing in safety, sensitivity, securement technique and vehicle operation.

In 2006, Tim accepted the position of Operations Manager for the wheelchair division. His duties included applicant review, driver registration, training oversight, accident and complaint review and resolution, supervision of fleet maintenance, training, and communications supervisors, and the general daily operations of the wheelchair division.

In 2008, Tim accepted a transfer to the corporate office as the Administrative Compliance Officer. His current duties include ensuring compliance with various contracts, federal, state, and local regulation, and policy, procedure and general system program review and revision. Tim is also responsible for maintaining the Drug and Alcohol Program.

Tims’ background includes 3 years as an Emergency Medical Technician assistant instructor for Pasco Hernando Community College, an American Heart Association (AHA) and American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) Instructor trainer for First Aid and CPR. Tim is certified to teach AIDS/HIV courses, Infection Prevention and Control, Body Mechanics, and assisted in writing a Florida State recognized First responder Program. Tim is currently a member of the FL-3 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT) based in Pinellas County. Tim continues to maintain his Emergency Medical technician Certification.
