Rebecca Jones
Rebecca
Jones has been the Controller for Wheelchair Transport Service
for over ten years.
It is her responsibility to oversee the financial operations of
the company including billing, accounting, accounts payable,
payroll, financial reporting and cash management. In addition,
Rebecca provides HR support.
Prior to coming to WTS Rebecca was an independent contractor working for various CPA firms and private clients providing accounting and financial management services. In this capacity she was assigned to a hospital in Miami that was in extreme financial difficulty. Working with an efficient administrator, she was able to turn the operation around and restore fiscal stability.
In addition, Rebecca was the controller for a 200 bed psychiatric hospital in Clearwater for six years, sitting on the three person management team along with the administrator and the medical director. The hospital was operating at 100% occupancy when she resigned her position to get married and start a family.
Other positions Rebecca has held include controller of a rural county hospital and 49 bed nursing home. The nursing home was added and she assisted in the implementation from the ground up – through licensing and construction, funding and recruiting – staff as well as clients. The nursing home was 100% occupied when Rebecca resigned to take the position in Clearwater.
Rebecca has lived in Florida all of her life, growing up in Jacksonville and attending the University of Florida in Gainesville where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree.
