John M. Williams
John
brings 13 years of experience in specialized and disabled
transportation as well as basic life support ambulance
transportation. He
also has 10 years of experience in inter and intra-state
transportation of waste.
Since 1995 John has served as President of Wheelchair
Transport Service, Inc.(WTS) and also MedFleet, Inc., a provider
of basic life support ambulance transport, stretcher and
wheelchair transportation service in
Pasco County.
He is also an owner and director of Transportation
Contract Services, Inc. and Greater Pinellas Transportation
Management Services, Inc.
Since joining WTS, John has provided guidance and
oversight of contract management and compliance, formulation and
implementation of policy and plans, and management of financial
and physical resources, enabling WTS to more than double in
size.
John attended
Central
Michigan
University,
Henry Ford
Community College and Washtenaw Community College
and received certificates of completion for courses in business
management and finance from
Michigan
State
University
and the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of
Professional Development.
Prior to joining WTS, he spent 15 years
with the Envotech Group of companies providing environmental
management services in the Detroit metro area.
Starting as an operator of heavy equipment in 1977,
learning the business from the ground up, John worked his way up
to executive level positions as President or Vice-President in
all twelve corporate entities within the group.
Services ranged from owning and operating hazardous waste
landfills, processing plants and doing superfund clean-ups to
equipment leasing, waste transportation and developing
permitting for disposal of waste in salt mines.
From 1980 to 1990 he also owned and operated a trucking
company providing both intra and interstate transportation of
hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
John’s other business interests include Alvery Bartlett
Fund Management Company, providing financial services and fund
management, and Maier Investment and Development, real estate
development.
John has three daughters and one son and
when not working, he enjoys fly fishing, bird hunting with his
two Brittany Spaniels, traveling, cooking and exploring new
wines.
