A native of St. Petersburg, Florida, Aaron began working at the age of 12 in his fathers’ restaurant, which his grandfather, George L. Williams, an African American Pioneer opened in 1922.

Aaron attended Wildwood Elementary School and graduated from Gibbs High School in 1970. Aaron went on to attend Florida A & M University in Tallahassee for a year and a half before transferring to Eckerd College in 1972. Aaron was a member of the honors program in Journalism and Social Psychology until the unfortunate death of his mother.

Aaron came to work as an Independent Contract Driver for Wheelchair Transport Service. Aaron believed that as a driver for the Demand and Response Transportation (DART) program, he was able to have a profound positive affect on the daily lives of the residents of Pinellas County who relied on the program for their transportation needs. Aaron continued as a driver for the DART program for 5 years, gaining a better understanding and appreciation for the lives of individuals with disabilities. This knowledge enriched his personal life and allowed him to continually improve the level of service that he gave to his clients.

In March of 2007, Aaron accepted a transfer to into the marketing division of Wheelchair Transport Service. His first hand knowledge of the para-transit transportation system in Pinellas County, years of experience as a driver, and personal knowledge of the clients that he serviced allowed him to immediately make strides in selling the company and its service to the community that he lived and worked in.

In addition to the responsibilities of a traditional Marketing Representative, Aaron also accepted the role and responsibilities of a driver mentor. Aaron routinely meets with the drivers in his service area to discuss various issues that drivers may have. Aaron works closely with new drivers to help them learn the area and the nuances of the job. He regularly completes safety inspections to ensure that clients are loaded and transported in the safest manner possible.

Aaron continues to work diligently to ensure that the residents of Pinellas County who require transportation receive the highest quality service possible.

When not working, Aaron enjoys spending time with his daughter and grandson, listening to contemporary jazz, and playing pocket billiards.
