Payment for our services

At Wheelchair Transport Service, we make it not only affordable but convenient to pay for transportation. You may qualify for a program that will pay for your transportation. With the DART Choice Program, you will be able to call Wheelchair Transport Service directly to make reservations for trips.

Medicaid *( Be Sure You Ask For Wheelchair Transport Service so you know what you are getting into)*

To receive services, you must have a valid Medicaid number and have no means of transportation available, including family or friends. To apply, call GPTMS at 727-545-2100. You will be asked to provide your Medicaid number for verification of eligibility and other personal information, including whether you have access to a vehicle and the name and address of the medical provider you need transportation to. Medicaid eligibility must be re-verified each month.

Transportation Disadvantaged through MPO

State-funded provides transportation through the MPO. Pinellas individuals must qualify as "transportation disadvantaged." Service for: medical, employment, grocery, banking, and education related to employment.

Advance notice: 48-hours required.

Days and hours: Paratransit provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Area served: Demand response in Pinellas County provided Wheelchair equipped vans are provided.

Eligibility and fees: Income must not exceed $1,400 per month (subject to change) for one. Must have no transportation, including family and friends. $3 fare (for a one-way trip)due in cash at the time of the ride.

BUS service: Eligible individuals can receive a 31-day unlimited bus pass (GO CARD). The cost is $4.20 a month for transportation, anywhere a PSTA bus can take them. First method of transportation offered is the bus.
